euro tabloid heaven: "NEW SPEED RECORD FOR INTERNET Oct 16 2003

Scientists have made an announcement to wipe the smug grins off broadband users' faces.
On Wednesday European Organisation for Nuclear Research, CERN, set a new world speed record for sending data across the Internet, equivalent to sending a 90-minute DVD film in seven seconds.
At the moment transferring a copy of J-Lo and Ben Afleck's movie Gigli would take about 15-minutes at standard broadband speed - seven minutes longer than it takes to decide to walk out of the cinema.
Olivier Martin of CERN said the transmission was a milestone, bringing researchers' researchers closer to their final goal of 'abolishing distance'."
