It is very common to see little shops (chocolatiers) in France selling this kind of stuff. Nothing exceptional.

Might want to look at those photos of that woman's rose again (sure wish they were higher resolution, but what's there will do, barely). Those petals don't look like anything I've ever seen, in Paris or anywhere else. They're very thin. And if it's pure chocolate like it says it is, then it's some pretty amazing stuff.

I used to make a strawberry pie with a buttery paste which tasted superbally but I don't have the time now.. [it could be troublesome]
