I wrote something on this some year or so ago - can't think of a word that search will round-up the post..goddam.
Well I don't think it's possible to go beyond earth orbit rendezvous with the shuttle as is it's just not designed for it.. you might as well say that the Saturn 5 was'nt made with moon lander
