Some years ago when I was a teen and had the ideas to chew-on I bought an Aerial Square Four for shillings that was seezed-up.. like the large pistons (1000 cubic centermetre) required the adjectives of a noun in experimental de-greasing oilled parts TO-FREE the cyclinders, unfortunatley that Sunday many moons ago did not find a withdrawal tool that would aid my childish fantasy - fire-up that monster..even with BLINKX search it does contain the findings for illustrating that fun thing of acheivement..

http://www.boingboing.net/2004/07/20/bottlecap_tripod.html Cory points out that a heavy device could keep your camera still during a long exposure but a simple connector could make a tripod unnecessary..
I had the idea of using a Fobi item that could have been introduced to cultural places of interests but I never found the Standard paper on this system..

http://www.foba.ch/eng/combi/combi.htm link to Fobi and Rodee component which illustrates the concept and the Manfrotto concept carried here http://www.manfrotto.com/product/templates/templates.php3?sectionid=191&itemid=1470

http://www.savory.de/blog_jul_04.htm#20040719 Stu Savory posted this item about a scary lightning hit on his home and I think he's doing the dirty on us cos he forgot his camera magic  he's probably thinking now that his insurance would approve of photos in an incident like this and this is the only thing that can reduce your rates or premiums, but the detail is pretty exclusive but as you know it's a bitch.
I felt a flaw in his rythum of posting as I was engaging in some spoofs on his recent posts and were undercut..

http://www.boingboing.net/2004/07/18/kai_organic_cafe_bri.html Cory has been visiting Brighton-by-the-sea and found a http://www.thisisbrightonandhove.co.uk/brighton__hove/leisure/at_the_bar/rikitiks2.html a friendly resting hole but not after being thrown out of another place for plugging in his lap-top into their mains...very disturbing not your average free-world. I go for a regular pint in The George & Dragon http://www.yourcounty.co.uk/freetime/archive/pubs/georgeanddragon.html but were banned when I showed some porn that I had inadvertently not got..but the chap who reported this got fired for some reason but it does not solve the future of some obscure wifferee thingy
